The Studio & Academy

The Studio & Academy at Ormonde Fields Golf Club

In conjunction with Lee Sheldon - Advanced PGA Professional

Lee is a golf coach that holds Advanced PGA Member status for his continued professional development in the area of golf coaching.

Lee as a junior played his golf at Ormonde Fields before his began his career at Chevin GC in Derbyshire then travelling to Royal Mid Surrey GC. Over the years he has worked with and studied under of the great golf coaches in the world, travelling to New Zealand, Europe, Australia and the USA in his journey to learn and teach.

In 2009 Lee was one of the first British professionals to study cult golf instructional "The Golfing Machine" by Homer Kelly and became one of the country’s first authorised instructors.

Lee has coached players of every standard from beginner to elite amateur, European Tour Professional and a Major Champion.

Lee's coaching philosophy challenges the established notions of golf fundamentals and instead focuses on 3 things all great golfers do

  • Hit the ground on the same spot with every swing
  • Swing with enough power to play the golf course
  • Control the curvature of your golf shots

His system is simple enough to deliver results for beginners, yet deep enough to give the better player a 3 dimensional understanding of the physiology of the golf swing
